We met! (3)

NOTE- Kindly peep in WE MET(1) and WE MET(2), to get the gist of the first two parts of the story that ends in this part.

“Wrong number,” I said to my righteous girl and had cut the call. I am a tyro in love. I could not bear with this monstrous feeling. Having my girl, the one I dreamt, called me and I cut the call. Too much to believe. Her blue star pendant kept flashing in my mind. By the way,” Preet,” I said to myself.  She is named as cute as herself. My heart skipped circadian regulations.

Jitin sharma, who the hell are you? Why do you have my name and play with my love, my life. I wanted to slap that guy. Lucky him!!

I had always cursed film scenes when it portrays a hero in lovelorn, reminded about everything he liked about his girl and when he smiles to himself. But now, those fingers, the crescent lips, tucked hair behind milk tinge ear petals, marble eye balls and those fluttering butterflies on them…. I am literally taken away. ‘Sharma’ made my hands go wild on the wall, banging it. I kept staring at my mobile screen and prayed, none of my dumb friends should flash on the screen. And when she will call again, if at all she does, I was ready to surrender, “Yes this is Jitin, Jitin Verma and I love you”. I was waiting for a long time but in vain and slept off.
                                                                                     ******

“Huh??  WRONG NUMBER??”
I was taken aback. It’s him, it’s his voice. There is no way of it being a wrong call. My heart was never wrong. I never let my brain do things for me, and it’s my gift. Hence, I still trust that it’s him.

I called Jaab, “Jaab. Wake up and listen”
“Yes Preet tell me. Why do you sound tensed?”

“I called Jitin. It was him. I am sure about this, his voice, the accent, the way he says ‘hello’. Its so him.”

Jaab interrupted, “Babes tell me what he told. I don’t need your voice analysis.”
I said, “He cut the call. ‘Wrong number’ is what he told me”

“Jaab I feel like crying. It’s him. It’s…. him.”

“Areyyyy!!! Darling dainty, now don’t wet your hanky. He must have played with you, monkey!”. Jaab is always cool. I was not convinced at all.

“Jab please. Loved someone ever? He is not playing. I know him.”

“Wareey wah! Look at her. So you guys were in love for years? You know him itseems,” she teased.

“Jaaaaab,” I pulled. Now Jaab had a serious tone. This is very special about her. “Ok. Now give me his number, I will check.” I wanted to jump out of my couch, “Jaab are you serious? Sure?”

“Ha ha! Pass me his number. I will let you know by morning.

“Muah darling,” I was excited.” Hello hello, if he is not Jitin, I am going to pick him.”
“Haan?? Jab!!”

“Ha ha ha! Stupid girl. I will let you know tomorrow.”
I just clicked the ‘send’ button and plunged into my bed; tightly packed, knowing I would never sleep.
                                                                                     ********

8.00AM, I woke on a call, all the incidents rushing back to my memory. It was an unknown number, feeling excited, it must be her calling from another number, I picked the call to tell what I had already planned.

A metallic voice spok.” Hello, Jitin?” I was confused.
“Are you jitin? Jaab here. Preet’s friend.”
“Yeah! Jitin. I mean Jitin Verma.”
“Yes you. Can I have a word with you? Preet called you yesterday. You met in train right? Why is that you cut the call? han?”

“Look, your friend was asking for Jitin Sharma. Ok? Sharma! I am here, Jitin Verma. So it is a wrong dial. Tik hai? And yeh! Damn we met in train. So what?”

Fortune cookies should have broken to read ‘fortune’ for me. Unfortunately I dint have one. Yet I had the wholesome fortune coming in the next reply.

“Wooo wooo wooo!! Cool down young man. What’s this Verma-Sharma. Jitin is Jitin. Ok listen, she was hunting for you, JITIN VERMA! the one and only. Sharma was the tag we used to escape our professor, once when he caught us gossiping on your name. Then we kept using it and still using it. But it’s you mahn! Jitin verma. And mind you, call her back, c ya.” I heard a beep.

I was climbing up on cloud 9, swaying my wings and listening to Jaab’s long reply.

I don’t remember who initiated the call, but all I remember even today is, Jitin and Preet did not sleep the whole night, that day.

 Have a nice day!

Little pandora!!

. . . . . .  APPLE, MOMA, CHOCOLATE, DADDY, I LIKE BHEEM. . . . .

Its up to you, how can the above words relate to each other. Fortune took me there. The bliss of leafing through a little fairy's rough book, an incorrigible book of complete mistakes. By the first page information filled by his parent, I know his name and age (around 5). I had no glimpse about how he looked or what he is. Now let me pull you too into this rough book world. Dump the intellect-logic-orient-officer in you to the nearest basket seen.

To all of us, a rough book is such an essential, close companion and a trustworthy friend. We never realize how special we use to be, while switching into other. The one I got in my hands was such a book he left behind. I took and leafed over the pages. Few first pages were neatly written. Words in track of five, repeating poem lines and pinch of other details said he was really concerned about mom’s spat on shabby pages. Continued by still more pages of same clan, well, few were informative too!

Then came a mountain with two arms spread, a crowd of human like figures smiling towards a pool of water, a boy dedicating a bunch of flowers to the garden before, a stick man with 42 teeth. Little more pages again ring around A…B… C… D… (May be a teacher- pastime). “I love you mom,” hailed a page in vibrant colors. Flipping through pages of scratches and scribbles, “hi,” said an angry bird, smiling!

How feather-like is that. Firstly, a mountain smiling amicably with the arms widely spread. Past childhood, have you ever imagined a mountain pal? It’s all the little brain, which can make a majestic piece of earth, a friend. And that bunch of flower, have you ever felt like attributing the colourful bunch to the plant that gave those, and thanking them with a smile? Plucking a flower and thanking the plant! Wierdo is it? Yet try once when you own a flower. A stick man with 42 teeth is a toffee to muse. 10 teeth, why not? ‘I love you moma,’ doesn’t need long lines to explain. Just to watch the line, I felt gifted. A purple colored angry bird, at least I have not seen this game hunk, a new punch a punchy game, kids knew it, passing on clichés.

Then again few pages of emptiness, a red dragon, empty, pink frock, emptiness and there ended the little notebook, with a blow of my happy sigh and filled heart. A single book of a tiny fairy had creativity, out of the box thinking, musing, fantasy, message, philosophy, fun, games, love and life. It did teach me so much. Those counts-less moment were countless! When I got so attached, I could relate many things with the filled and unfilled pages. It conveyed me the flow of life. Laconic yet deepness is what I travelled through.

Hope I took you through a happy journey through the flipping papers, wishing you could relate things with your own instincts. Try grabbing a rough book and skim through at least once in a life time.  I really wish I could go back and see how my rough book was. Teach children to save few rough books to chew upon in future, so that they can spur with naivety when grown.

Hah!! This tot has put me into a different world of cognitive demand and ignorantly playing in some part of my earth. God bless you angel!

                                                          have a happy time!!

Thanking a Photon.

This dark forest I stand and watch,

Within me sprouts a nameless glee,

Days put me in deeper notch-

Rundles made from my own soul-tree!

Raping up my stories of past,

Roars and sings these rock emissions.

Tales of love, hate, cry and aghast

Shows me the sky, all life machines

Dampen my psyche, few great moments

Instilled in me were many knots.

Saw and felt, had no comments,

Filled bliss into my abyss pots.

Rumbling wind swished to sweet breeze,

The dame in me felt a pouring ease.

Why? and how? kept haunting me

The cause I stood on this land piece;

Tossed me to a pink-muse spree,

Void of echoes I stayed in peace.

The next step, planned the toe,

To quench or daunt from something new.

Heart hummed, pleasing still low,

A tyro in life dancing in a queue,

One more limp, a walk far ahead,

Nudged the spirit, yet dint move.

Lucid aims keep gushing the blood

Young in flesh, wants to prove.

Had no guess for this frozen etch,

Raised my chin to the scenic fetch.

Shallow dot of an afar light,

Marched out there a dreamy knight!

We met?! (2)

(B.S- Just look through few words in 'We met!?(1)' to have a grip.)

I smiled in a weird way, sky was pouring and roads were all new! Human eyes looked me, baffled. That evening walk to home was all fresh and new. At home I did nothing but sat to watch through the windows, the drips. 'Sharma, my three years' chant. I met him today, I have his number, he smiled at me'. Wah!! I penned this in my journal. I never had this happy-go-amused feeling with my journal before. 'I met himmmmm', I kept repeating this whole day. I was lying on cloud no.9 then.

9.00 PM, it was freezing. Winter and loving heart make a pleasing combination. I felt this was a great secret of my life, I am a girl though. "Jaab!" I wanted to call Jaab, my only bestie. She must be sleeping but I could not resist.

"Jaab! You know what?1?" I was jumping on my cot. "Urgh.Pata nai yaar! How will I know? I am sleeping, you idiot". I never heard her,"I met Sharma baby! My Jitin Sharma!," I crinkled to make a weird laugh on excitement. Girls knew it. "I met him on train today. God! he looks handsome and you know what? I have his nimber". Jaab was rolling over to get up and wore her specs. I don't understand this with her. "Saaleey! When did this happen han?! I don't find a reason for you to crack me out in this. It must be true," she gave her a confirmation. "So what next? Mere piya. . . ab ajah re. . " she started singing. I crinkled again and cut the call. 'Enjoy this girlie. I know you will love some lone time. tc. cul." Jaab's text message beeped in and she always know me.

Stirring the lumps of sugar in my cuppa, I looked at the wall before. Wall and Sky showed him to me. "Arey! My hero. What's up there?". Wall echoed, "Ring me up".

Exhilarated gushing, I cut the call on second ring. 'What are you soing baby? You are a girl and you call him!' the lady in me poked in. 'Fool he don't have your number!' the angel in me convinced. Ego is the beauty spa of love, I mean trashing the ego is. Sipping the last gulp, I brought my knees closer to the chin, I went on a rehearsal. "Hello Sharma Sir". Fool sir haan? he is your love. "Hey hi! its me". Lady you are getting so formal. "Hello Sharma . . train. . other day". Come on man! you will top his flirt list.

"Hello Sharma! I am your junior, met you on train the other day. How are you?" I spluttered out. His humble voice,"Hello! Jitin yeah. I am fine. So What's up?". I blabbed,"I told you about my project? I have to discuss something on it". I could hear him chuckle,"2013 pass out has a doubt in her project yet? interesting." Err. . I flopped and still managed,"Well yah! But I am continuing my work for my Masters. Am I disturbing you?" Girls are clever about this question.

He was gentle, "No not at all! Tell me." Boys are stupid about this reply, when they like the girl. I mute the call to crinkle again. I continued,"Did you have your break fast?". Not puzzled by my deviation, he replied. We kept the call long with Arsenal's victory, political chaos, breakfast and lunch menu. We reached to the point of chatting on likes and dislikes. I felt this was too ripen for the first call.

A mosquito pinched my chin to alarm me, it was all not happening in real. the mobile was lying afar. With the foolish sigh, I picked up and dialed. A lady said he was busy. Cut off the logic, its love and I was angry. Tenth attempt and third ring the call was picked. "Hello! Preet here. Am I speaking to Jitin Sharma?" My heartbeat was faster, my lips shivered. I heard breathing on the other end,"Huh? No. Sorry. Wrong number".
